Western Australia – Margaret River – Spring Break 2010

April 11, 2010

We drove 3 hours south of Perth to reach the Margaret River Area. We stayed in the town of Dunnsborough. This area is known for it’s wineries, beaches, surfing and family activities. It was a bit like Napa Meets San Diego. We enjoyed it thoroughly!

There was so much to do in the Margaret River Area! In addition to touring underground caves, climbing inside the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, hiking along the coast, exploring the beaches and winerys and breweries, Dave, Ben and Nicky got to play golf!

kanga golf! And there were LOTS of Kangas!

On our final day we took a ferry ride to Rottnest Island – home of the elusive Quokka! We saw many on this beautiful island.
